Art & Art History
Voices: Stefan Eberstadt & Stephan Fritsch
Gallery 400 Lecture Room
400 South Peoria Street
Collaborating artists Stefan Eberstadt (born 1961) and Stefan Fristch (born 1962) mix photographic images of modern architecture and patterns with their own painting, sculpture, and installation work. In doing so, they attempt to show the relationship between art and the sources of its inspiration. Do you take this! comes from a quote of Reyner Banham in an essay for the 1956 exhibition Marriage of Two Minds, in which architectural models and found architecture are blended into one series of photographs.
