Painter and printmaker David Humphrey (born 1955) is concerned with the varied manifestations of desire. He creates layered pictorial narratives using colloquial objects from popular culture and kitsch. 

Humphrey received an MA from New York University. His recent solo exhibitions were at Fredric Snitzer Gallery, Miami; Brent Sikkema Gallery, New York; Littlejohn Contemporary, New York; Solomon Projects, Atlanta; and McKee Gallery, New York.
