Puerto Rican artist Bibiana SuУЁrez (born 1960) has been making paintings and drawings that address the psychological, political, and social conditions inherent to the immigrant experience in the United States. She has held solo exhibitions at the Arts Student League, San Juan; Taller PuertorriqueУБo, Philadephia; and Sazama Gallery, Chicago; and participated in numerous group exhibitions, most recently Place, Lockport Art Gallery, State of Illinois Art Gallery; Los Encuentros/Encounters, School of the Art Institute of Chicago; National Drawing Invitational, The Arkansas Art Center, Little Rock; and En el CorazУГn del PaУ­s/In the Heart of the Country, The Chicago Cultural Center to name a few.

SuУЁrez currently teaches at DePaul University, Chicago and has also taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she earned a BFA and an MFA with a concentration in Painting and Drawing.
