Jessica Stockholder (born 1959) uses non-traditional materials in her sculptures and installations, such as refrigerator doors, light bulbs, old laundry, and shag carpeting. She has had solo exhibitions at Art Culture Resource Center, Toronto; Melinda Wyatt Gallery, New York; Mercer Union, Toronto; Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver; The Mattress Factory, Pittsburgh; The Renaissance Society, the University of Chicago; and Isabella Kacprzak Galerie, K ln, Germany. Stockholder studied painting at the University of Victoria in Victoria, Canada, and received an MFA from Yale University.
