Danish artist Gitte Villesen employs video because of its ability to tell stories that work in a complementary way with reality. This particular brand of video art describes a return to a personally and socially committed art. Her videos work as a reflective exchange of the roles of the viewer, the artist, and the person portrayed.

Villsen will be at Gallery 400 for an artist-in-residence from March 27 to March 31 and will work with students on creating a video project.
