Peyankov in Barcelona
Head of Theatre, Yasen Peyankov, travelled to Barcelona at the beginning of spring break to visit the Eòlia Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. He gave a master class on Chekhov to students of the school with whom the School of Theatre and Music (STM) recently established an exciting partnership.
In addition to faculty exchanges, students from Eolia and STM will spend a semester studying abroad in Chicago or Barcelona. Our first two guests from Eolia will join us in fall 2015 and STM students will reciprocate in the spring.
Eòlia, founded in Barcelona in 2000, is associated with theater companies Tricicle, Dagoll Dagom, and the Galilei Project. Eòlia program places a strong emphasis on practical experience and the collaboration of actors, playwrights and directors.
