Videographer Vanalyne Green (born 1948) focuses on sex and gender in her work, which has been exhibited and screened at venues around the United States such as the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Lincoln Center, New York; Allegheny College, Pennsylvania; Portland Art Museum, Oregon, among many others; as well as internationally at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo; Den Haag, Netherlands; Sala Rekaide, Bilbao; and the Berlin Film Festival, Germany.

Green is currently an assistant professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she has been teaching since 1990. She was an invited artist at the cole Nationale Sup rieure des Beaux-Arts, from January to June 1993. She studied art at Fresno State University in the first feminist art program started by Judy Chicago and then at California Institute of the Arts, where she earned a BFA degree.
