In this Voices lecture, Sheila Pinkel will attempt to clarify the place of the spiritual and poetic in her documentary art-making practice. Pinkel is an Associate Professor of Art at Pomona College. She is also an international editor of Leonardo, the publication devoted to the intersection of art, science, and technology. For the last twenty five years, Pinkel’s work has focused on her love of nature and her concern about its destruction.
