The UIC School of Theater & Music and UIC Radio are hosting their first “Batalla de las Bandas” event on March 29, 2024 at the Recital Hall, in the ETMSW Building at UIC.

UIC student bands and solo acts are encouraged to perform a range of genres from cumbia, salsa, merengue, reggaeton, banda/regional, and Latin Rock to win a slot at the Latin American Music Festival Block Party. Click the link below to audition.

To audition, at least one person in the band must be a UIC student with a valid UIN and UIC email. Auditions will be accepted until March 15.
