CPS students learn science through art and movement with Project STAGE
Project STAGE, or Science Theater for Advancing Generative Engagement, is a joint initiative between UIC faculty in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction, UIC School of Theatre and Music and Chicago Public School (CPS) teachers, that empowers young science learners in CPS classrooms with a platform to develop and communicate their thinking around science ideas and social change. Last May, students from CPS schools debuted their performance at UIC School of Theatre & Music in a play titled entitled POLLUTION AND ITS IMPACT ON COMMUNITIES.
