Lecture: Antonio Torres, “Entangled”
Wednesday, November 20, 1pm
1100 A+DS

Architecture is not an isolated, static structure but part of a broader dynamic system that interacts with ecological processes as it evolves, grows, transforms, and decays. The interplay of natural and cultural systems, along with material and geometry within designed spaces, becomes so intertwined that unique microecosystems can be formed.

Antonio Torres’s lecture, featuring four projects in Chicago, Mexico, and the open ocean, explores how architecture—when viewed through the lens of entanglement—can create alternative environments, repositioning our understanding of the world.
