Jacob Nathan
Jacob is an MSW Intern in his final year of study at the UIC Jane Addams College of Social Work. This year, Jacob is serving as CADA’s Wellness Specialist through the Office of Student Health and Wellbeing. He is driven by the view that a person’s college years and early adulthood are crucial to their success. To that end, in his role as Wellness Specialist, Jacob will provide solution-focused counseling and case management services, host skills workshops, and lead peer support groups for students at CADA.
Jacob grew up in Northwest Ohio and received his BA in Government and History from Skidmore College in 2015. Since then, he has strived to make life better for those around him, whether through his work in local politics or his dedication to empathetic leadership while in the private sector. Upon graduating in May 2025, Jacob will pursue licensure as a clinical social worker and intends to continue working to support young adults. His extracurricular interests include biking, recreational soccer, cooking, and Da Bears.
Jacob will be in the office (Jefferson Hall, Rm 208) and available for drop-ins M/W/F from 9AM-5PM (pending availability). You can also schedule time to meet with him by email at CADAwellness@uic.edu.
