Intercollege Transfer Students
Intercollege transfer students are current undergraduate UIC students who are in an undergraduate college outside of the College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts (CADA), or a CADA student wishing to change degree programs within the college. This application is also for students wishing to add a dual degree.
You must log into the forms using a UIC email.
Application links for Spring 2025 and Fall 2025 semesters are now open. Check each application for the next available term.
Applications must be completed at least one semester in advance of the next eligible term. Applications are accepted through the last day of finals of the preceding semester. Decisions are released via email after final grades post, and those admitted will be required to confirm the degree change via email.
Please note that all minimum requirements speak to eligibility only, these minimums do not guarantee admission. Admission is selective, competitive, and is not guaranteed even if minimums are met.
Eligibility Requirements:
School of Architecture and the School of Design:

- Minimum GPA of 2.75 (3.0 minimum recommended for Architecture) for all programs except Computer Science + Design, which requires a minimum GPA of 3.25.

- CS+DES requires completion of Calculus I and either CS 111 or an equivalent course.

- BA Architectural Studies requires a minimum of 60 credits, as well as a minimum grade of B in ARCH 200.

- Personal statement for all architecture programs is required. Statements should addresses your personal connection to architecture, as well as why you are applying for a switch to the specific degree program in the School.
School of Art and Art History and The School of Theatre and Music

- minimum GPA of 2.5 for all programs.
