As students, faculty, and staff at UIC, you receive free admission to the Art Institute of Chicago and many other cultural institutions, who have generously provided access to their collections, exhibitions, and programs.
Students
All UIC undergraduate, graduate, and professional students receive free admission to the Art Institute of Chicago by presenting a student i-card at the admissions counter. Students can explore the museum’s renowned global collection, visit special exhibitions, access archival materials at the Ryerson and Burnham Libraries, and attend lectures and performances.
Faculty
A limited number of first-come, first-served free admission passes for faculty and staff bringing classes to the museum are available. To obtain a pass when accompanying a class to the Art Institute, or to hire an adjunct guide to lead a class visit, contact universitypartners@artic.edu.
Discounts
UIC students, staff, and faculty interested in purchasing Art Institute memberships receive a 10% discount on first time memberships (up to Member Plus level/excluding student and e-member levels).
UIC’s partnership with the Art Institute of Chicago is partially made possible thanks to a gift from Robin Block in memory of Joshua Block.
