Open Studios are a chance to drop in on the design work happening at the School of Architecture this semester.
In this week’s semi-public event, we join Penelope Dean and Grant Gibson’s second-year graduate studio for an episode of “The House Show.” The studio reframes the concept of minimalism as a question of liveability—that is, a livable minimum over existenzminimum—by reimagining Chicago’s “three-flat” type on vacant city-owned lots.
