Artist Tony Tasset is Professor Emeritus at the UIC School of Art & Art History, where he taught for 29 years until 2017. The Artists Monument is a bright, colorful public artwork that was exhibited at the 2014 Whitney Biennial in New York City and in Chicago's Grant Park before arriving to its permanent home on Harrison Field.

Funding support provided by the University of Illinois Foundation Chester Fund, UIC Office of the Provost, and UIC College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts. Installing this public artwork was a costly endeavor and we are now actively fundraising to support these expenses. Please consider supporting the Artists Monument and its testament to the campus and to the City of Chicago by making a gift to the Artists Monument Fund.
